The Position
Seeking a Rural Hospital Specialist/Clinical Lead to provide coverage starting February 2020.
The role of the Rural Hospital Specialist / Clinical Lead is to provide medical care to acutely ill patients in the Accident & Medical department as well as the management of inpatients on the General Ward. The range of medical care managed at Kaitaia Hospital is complex and interesting. The hospital provides care for some 25,000 people as well as the huge influx of tourists in the summer period. The Location
A small town in the Far North District of New Zealand. A busy farming town, it also supports vineyards, and fruit growing. The surrounding areas are home to many skilled craftspeople working in wood, pottery, paint, glass, ceramics, flax, bone, and greenstone.
Essential Criteria:
To apply for this position you must hold or be eligible for vocational scope of practice in Rural Hospital Medicine with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
