The Position 
Our client is seeking applications for a full-time Radiologist to join their expanding Radiology department. A strong sub-speciality interest or a sub-speciality fellowship would be an advantage. They provide a comprehensive range of diagnostic imaging services for the Northland population. Over 100,000 procedures are undertaken annually by the service and a wide range of services and modalities are performed, including X-Ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, mammography, fluoroscopy and basic interventional procedures. 

The department has modern imaging equipment with two CT scanners (256 slice and 16 Slice) and a 1.5T MRI. 

Their Radiologists are multi-skilled, but the development of a special interest is supported. Ongoing education is encouraged and supported. Multi-disciplinary meetings are held weekly with all specialities being involved, which allows for a close collegial working environment.

Located in the North Island this is a fantastic region to explore if you’re into nature walks, cultural exploration, fantastic food and drink and an exciting arts scene. There is a full calendar of events for you to enjoy and a lovely warm climate. It offers an exciting lifestyle for even the seasoned tourist. Water based activities available include water skiing, diving, sailing, sea kayaking, fishing, boating and swimming. The climate is sub-tropical. There is a good range of educational opportunities for families with both private and public schooling nearby. 

Essential Criteria: 
To apply for this position you must hold or be eligible for vocational scope of practice in Radiology with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
