Permanent Part Time GP – Canterbury Region 

Start Date: January 2020 

Rates: Negotiable depending on experience and qualifications 

The Position 
Our client is seeking a Permanent GP to join their team in January on a part time basis with 6-8 sessions available per week. The group practice provides excellent nursing/admin support and onsite practice manager. As an accredited rural medical training centre there are also teaching opportunities for interested candidates to provide mentorship to medical students. 

The Location 
Located in a peaceful rural town, just inland of the coast and less than three hours from Christchurch. The old-style friendliness of residents is hugely appealing – with a small town that is large enough to still allow privacy and a life outside of work. Affordable property and excellent high-schooling and university options available nearby mean the area is becoming a popular place to live and work. 
This township is seeing many developments in the main street to enhance the Edwardian architecture and beautiful parks and gardens. Hunting, mountain biking, fishing and walking are all activities easily accessed. Lakes and camping are just up the road and skiing and mountaineering, and vineyard country is all within an easy 2-3 hours’ drive. 

Essential Criteria
