Permanent Orthopaedic Registrar

Start Date: May 2019

Rates: Negotiable depending on qualifications and experience

The Position
Our client is looking for a Permanent Orthopaedic Registrar starting May 2019.
You'll be part of a dedicated team providing comprehensive elective general orthopaedic services, as well as 24-hour Orthopaedic Trauma and Orthopaedic Emergency care. You will also have the opportunity to undertake regular outpatient clinics in Queenstown.

The scope of your work will be varied and will include exposure to a range of subspecialties including:

Trauma surgery
Joint replacement
Spinal surgery
Paediatric Orthopaedics
Foot and Ankle Surgery
Sports Medicine Orthopaedic Surgery
Occupational Medicine
Upper Limb Surgery

The Location
Located in the southernmost city in New Zealand's South Island and is renowned for its friendly and unhurried pace of life and strong sense of community. There are abundant sports and other amenities, educational (primary through tertiary) facilities, as well as a vibrant arts and cultural scene. Close by are national parks and summer and winter playgrounds that are part of Queenstown and Central Otago.

Essential Criteria:
The successful applicant must be registered or be eligible for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
