Job Description

Permanent GP

Date: 1 July onwards

Rate: Negotiable

The Position
Our client is looking for a permanent GP to join their lovely small group practices in the Manawatu region. This could be the perfect opportunity for a GP to relocate and enjoy the idyllic rural NZ lifestyle! Our client has 2 main practices, both with excellent teams.
You are required to work 8-10 sessions a week. Participation in very light on-call during the weekday will be required. Work hours starts from 8.30am to 12.30pm & 1.30pm to 5.30pm.

The Location
A wonderful busy town-practice servicing the small towns and rural region of the Manawatu. The practice is located in a lively small town with plenty going on, and some great cafes. The Manawatu region is a beautiful part of New Zealand, with agriculture forming the economic backbone of the region. There are gorgeous native forest trails for hiking in the ranges that embrace the fertile farmland, rivers for swimming, and the acclaimed Wairarapa wine-growing industry that has charged the way for the region to become a getaway destination for many city-dwellers. It's a quick trip over to the coastal Hawke's Bay.

Essential Criteria
The successful applicant must hold or be eligible to hold general scope of practice with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
