Job Description

Permanent GP

Start Date: January 2020

Rates: Negotiable depending on skills and qualifications

The Position
Our client is a rural group practice in an excellent location between Hamilton and Auckland, in North Waikato. They are seeking a permanent GP to join their team of two existing GPs. A long term locum GP will also be considered 6-8 months.

Starting in January 2020, the ideal candidate will complement the local community of around 3000 people. The patient population is a mix or rural and urban dwellers.

Standard practice hours are 8.00am – 5.00pm with the Doctors first appointment being 8.30am. Appointments are 15 mins long with morning and afternoon tea breaks in each session as well as a 1 hour lunch break. After hours service is covered by the triage nurse. This role may include dedicated rest home sessions, with the GPs visiting local homes twice a week. FTE is negotiable for this role and a competitive salary package is offered.

The Location
Located in a small rural town, just an hour from both Auckland and Hamilton. Beautiful beaches and scenery of the Coromandel Peninsula is only a one and a half hours drive away. An ideal base for exploring the region – this is a bustling town with new sub-divisions being built to accommodate the growing population.
