The Position 
Our client is a vibrant and friendly group practice located in the heart of Whanganui city. They also have a practice in a nearby small town, and this position will likely work across both clinics. The clinics have excellent teams of support staff and enjoy a great working environment. They are cornerstone accredited and fully computerised, using Medtech32 and other programmes and have a patient population that is culturally diverse, with 60% Maori. 

The position is ideally a permanent appointment, though long term options may be considered. Start date is November 2019. 

The Location 
Whanganui is a friendly little city with a historic centre, full of great restaurants and bars, a burgeoning arts and culture scene, and great sporting and recreational facilities. With excellent affordable housing and highly respected schooling this is a great place for families. The opportunities for water sports are endless and include rowing, sailing, canoeing, water skiing and windsurfing. It’s also well-positioned for exploring some truly beautiful regions of the north, including the ski fields, which are in hopping distance for weekend excursions! 

Essential Criteria 
To apply for this position you must hold or be eligible for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
