Our client is looking to appoint an experienced cardiologist to participate in the further development of cardiology services up to and including establishment of a local interventional service. It has a catchment area of 180,000 people and the Cardiology Service currently has the capacity to provide diagnostic angiography, pacing and echocardiographic services to the population as well as an integrated heart failure service.
The successful applicant should have proven clinical experience as well as demonstrated understanding of departmental development and the provision of strong clinical governance. In addition, experience in delivering an interventional service in a rural setting is also desirable.
