Medical Lead/Cardiologist 

Start Date: December 2019 

Rates: Negotiable depending on experience and qualifications 

The Position 
Our client is looking to appoint an experienced cardiologist to lead the further development of cardiology services up to and including an establishment of a local interventional service. The successful applicant will be expected to take a place on a cardiology on-call service as well as an interventional cardiology on-call service once established. During the establishment of a dedicated interventional facility, access to interventional cardiology to retain medical credentialing requirements will be made available. 

Our client has a catchment area of 180,000 people and the Cardiology Service currently has the capacity to provide diagnostic angiography, pacing and echocardiographic services to the population as well as an integrated heart failure service.

Essential Criteria: 
To apply for this position you must hold or be eligible for vocational scope of practice in Cardiology with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
