GP Permanent – Taranaki

The Position
Our client is a large Urgent Care/ A&M practice in New Plymouth, open 365 days a year for extended hours (8am to 8pm), with an after-hours roster for clinic and regional on-call cover. They are a busy practice offering regular GP/Family Healthcare as well as walk-in Urgent Care/Accident and Medical consultations. Full time or part time appointment considered – this is a permanent position, and our client is interested in seeing candidates who can work 31 hours per week minimum.

Continuity of care is emphasised, with patients seeing either their regular GP or the last doctor they saw in as a walk-in appointment. The practice offers a wide range of services: general practice, accident and sports injury, minor surgery, functional medicine, and urgent care. The facility has a dispensing pharmacy, physiotherapist, and x-ray on site.

Essential Criteria
Must have or be eligible for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand to work as a GP/Urgent Care doctor. Willing to work 31 hours per week minimum, must be happy to work every second weekend. Looking for a GP who is happy to work predominately in urgent care.
