General Surgery Registrar

Start Date: November 2019

Rates: Negotiable depending on experience and qualifications

The Position
Our client is currently seeking applications from RMOs interested in joining the team as a General Surgery Registrar.

You'll be part of a team working across a range of surgical specialties and subspecialties, which includes tertiary level caseloads. During your time with them, you will be exposed to a number of runs which include:

* General Surgery
* Vascular Surgery
* Neurosurgery
* Breast Surgery
* Colorectal
* Hepatobiliary
* Upper gastrointestinal
* Plastics
* Urology
* Reliever

There is also the possibility of rotations to:
* Cardiothoracic Surgery (one Registrar every six months)
* CU (one Registrar every six months)

They have a new MECA compliant after hours roster in place with 21 registrars on the rotation.

Located in the southernmost city in New Zealand's South Island and is renowned for its friendly and unhurried pace of life and strong sense of community. There are abundant sports and other amenities, educational (primary through tertiary) facilities, as well as a vibrant arts and cultural scene. Close by are national parks and summer and winter playgrounds that are part of Queenstown and Central Otago.

Essential Criteria:
To apply for this position you must hold or be eligible for general or provisional General Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
