The Position 
Our client is seeking a General Surgeon for Hawke's Bay who shares our values of He kauanuanu - Respect, Ākina - Improvement, Rāranga te tira - Teamwork and Tauwhiro - Care. They have a unique opportunity for a suitably qualified General Surgeon to join their Surgical team. They are looking for a surgeon who demonstrates a commitment to high quality care, teaching and leadership in the field. 

The successful candidate will manage a wide range of General Surgical conditions. Experience in Breast surgery and management of Breast disease would be an advantage, however the successful candidate will be expected to fully participate in the General Surgical on call roster and manage acute patients. An experienced endoscopist for both upper and lower gastrointestinal procedures would be an advantage.

Located in a beautiful provincial centre on the East Coast of the North Island, NZ with approximately 162,000 population. It enjoys stunning scenery and a temperate climate with sunny dry summers. Essential Criteria: 
To apply for this position you must hold or be eligible for vocational scope of practice in General Surgery with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
