The Position 
An exciting opportunity for energetic, enthusiastic General Physician, with sub-speciality interest in infectious diseases, is currently available. Our client is the largest hospital in Northland, providing secondary care services for the region supported by three growing district hospitals. Northland offers the opportunity to work with a growing and diverse population. Our focus is on improving equity against a background of high needs and challenging clinical issues. There are opportunities to work within the outlying community hospitals. 

The service has a coronary care unit with five beds, three medical wards with 56 beds and a spacious outpatient facility. The hospital prides itself on having a comfortable collegial atmosphere with great rapport across specialities. 

The Location 
A relaxed, gorgeous region. With a sub-tropical climate there is a vast array of delicious fresh produce available locally, including top quality fruit and local wines. The region has stunning beaches, native bush and plenty of opportunity to get into the outdoors. 

Essential Criteria 
To apply for this position you must hold or be eligible for vocational scope of practice in Internal Medicine with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
