Gastroenterologist
Start Date: February 2020
Rates: Negotiable depending on experience and qualifications
The Position
Our client is seeking for Gastroenterologist starting February 2020. Competence in general Gastroenterology and endoscopy is required, and sub specialist experience is welcomed. ERCP is desired but not essential. The position also entails of clinical training and supervision of medical staff, students and other staff as required, participation in the Gastroenterology on-call roster, and participation in Departmental research and audit activities.
They are open to applications from newly qualified through to experienced physicians. Remuneration will be based on the equivalent cumulative experience of the applicant and matched to the appropriate step within the Medical and Dental Specialists Multi Employment Collective Agreement (MECA).
Their Gastroenterology Department provides comprehensive secondary and tertiary level inpatient, and outpatient services to Canterbury and locations throughout the South Island.

Essential Criteria:
To apply for this position you must hold or be eligible for vocational scope of practice in Internal Medicine with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
