Start Date: December 2019 

Rates: Negotiable depending on experience and qualifications 

The Position 
Our client is looking for an Orthopaedic Surgeon to join their enthusiastic team. Their preference is to fill this role permanently with a vocationally registered surgeon to work up to 1.0 FTE, however, they are also open to a discussion around a fixed term appointment (duration is negotiable). As a member of their Orthopaedic team you will be one of four Orthopaedic Surgeons in a unit which provides a comprehensive public and in private orthopaedic service for the population of the Wairarapa. In view of the opportunity for a private income this appointment is likely to be either permanent part time or fixed term part time. An interest in arthroplasty would be an advantage. 
There is an on call requirement for this role, Afterhours through the week and over the weekend. This is managed from within the team.

Essential Criteria 
To apply for this position you must hold or be eligible for vocational scope of practice in Orthopaedics with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
