The Position 
Applications are invited for a permanent, part-time (0.8FTE) Obstetrics and Gynaecology consultant who is comfortable working in a smaller provincial hospital and will make a positive contribution to the existing Obstetrics and Gynaecology team. You will join a specialist team providing secondary level Obstetrics and Gynaecology services and will share a strong commitment to delivering high quality health care for women and their families. Participation is expected in the 1:4 on call roster, routine obstetrics, routine gynaecology and colposcopy clinics including some outreach clinics. 

There are approximately 900-1000 births per year in the Nelson region and the maternity service and gynaecology services works closely with its sister hospital in Marlborough.

Essential Criteria: 
To apply for this position you must hold or be eligible for vocational scope of practice in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
