Consultant Cardiologist

Start Date: 1 October 2018 onwards

Rates: Negotiable depending on experience and qualifications

The Position
An opportunity exists for a suitably qualified Interventional Cardiologist to join an established and progressive team based in the North Island. This position is a permanent appointment starting 1 October 2018 onwards.

The successful applicant will join a well-established and dynamic team of 14 Cardiologists (including 9 Interventionalists) and five cardiac surgeons. The department is a leading national centre for coronary and structural heart disease intervention. Approximately 1000 angioplasties including rotablation are performed each year with access to advanced imaging technologies including IVUS and OCT.

Essential Criteria:
The doctor will be required to hold or be eligible for provisional vocational/vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
