The Position 
Seeking a Consultant Anaesthetist to provide coverage starting December 2019. You will become part of an enthusiastic, dynamic and committed team of health workers providing a modern and innovative approach to healthcare, with the bonus of a healthy balanced lifestyle and opportunities for professional development. This is a full time position with an on call requirement of 1 in 5. 

Our client provides secondary services for a population of approximately 40,000, providing 24-hour acute and elective care in general and orthopaedic surgery, medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology, ophthalmology, psychiatry, and paediatrics. The hospital operates both Public & Private theatre sessions covering General Surgery, Anaesthetics, Orthopaedics, Urology, Endoscopy, Gynaecology, and Obstetrics, as well as Ophthalmic and ENT.

Essential Criteria 
To apply for this position you must hold or be eligible for vocational scope of practice in Anaesthetics with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
