Clinical Lead – Liver Transplant Surgery 

Start Date: December 2019 

Rates: Negotiable depending on experience and qualifications 

The Position 
An opportunity exists for a person with substantial post-fellowship experience to take over the leadership of this unit. The configuration of that leadership position would be flexible but could include leadership of the HPB service as well if the candidate had the right skill mix and leadership qualities. The position is available immediately because of an unexpected change in personnel and the upcoming retirement of the incumbent chief of service. 

Ideally you will have: 
* Fellowship in the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons or foreign equivalent 
* Transplantation surgical fellowship training and at least 5 years of post-fellowship experience in adult and importantly, paediatric liver transplantation. 
* Extensive HBP surgical experience that allows competence in liver splitting and live donor hepatecomy is essential to the role.

Close to all the beaches and a naval base. Easy drive to the CBD, relaxed commute to the harbor. Lots of opportunities to explore, catch a ferry to travel to the Islands near by. 

Essential Criteria: 
To apply for this position you must hold or be eligible for vocational scope of practice in Surgery with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
