If you hold one of qualifications listed below you are eligible to work in New Zealand as a locum tenens specialist in obstetrics jobs and gynaecology jobs for up to twelve months. You are also eligible to apply for vocational registration, which has no restriction on the time you can work in New Zealand. However, qualification criteria can change at the discretion of the New Zealand Medical Council at any time. The approved specialist qualifications in obstetrics and gynaecology are:
Doctors who hold a specialist qualification in obstetrics and gynaecology but not one of those listed above may be eligible to apply for vocational registration in New Zealand, allowing you to work at consultant level.
Doctors without vocational qualifications who have worked in obstetrics and gynaecology for a minimum of 30 hours per week for at least 33 out of the last 48 months in one of the following Comparable Health countries, may be also be eligible to work in New Zealand at registrar level, depending on your level of training and experience.

Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Israel, Italy, Norway, Republic of Ireland, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, The Netherlands, United Kingdom, United States of America.
