Locum Emergency Medicine jobs

There is high demand for emergency medicine doctors in New Zealand, with opportunities in hospitals all over the country.

If you hold one of qualifications listed below you are eligible to work as a locum tenens specialist in emergency medicine for up to twelve months. You are also eligible to apply for vocational registration which has no restriction on the time you can work in New Zealand. Qualification criteria can, however, change at the discretion of the New Zealand Medical Council at any time. The approved specialist qualifications in emergency medicine are:

If you don’t have a specialist qualification but have experience in emergency medicine we are interested in hearing from you. Doctors without specialist qualifications, but who have worked in emergency medicine for a minimum of 30 hours per week for at least 33 out of the last 48 months in one of the following Comparable Health countries, are eligible to work in New Zealand at Medical Officer of Specialist Scale (MOSS) or Registrar level, depending on your level of training and experience.

Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Israel, Italy, Norway, Republic of Ireland, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, The Netherlands, United Kingdom, United States of America.
